It’s Time To Stop Guessing And Feel Confident About Your Largest Investment

There's an excellent chance that you have a security system, smoke detectors and carbon monoxide detectors. Wouldn't it be great if there was a continuous monitoring system for the tiniest invaders of all termites?

Now there is. The Termite Detection System, which has the potential to save, homeowners millions of dollars a year by early detection of wood-eating pest.

Mission Accomplished
Here's Why TDS is Better

Currently, termite inspections are performed by a technician in a crawlspace or basement with a flashlight and screwdriver, poking on beams and floor joists, looking for damage that has already occurred by termites. Sometimes the damage is only discovered when the termites come out of the walls to swarm in the spring of the year.

A homeowner's ability to detect the presence of termites BEFORE significant damage becomes noticeable is a major obstacle in early termite control. It is the weakest link in fighting termites.

Termite Detection System has Changed that. When you discover that there is an alternative to the endless cycle of termite damage/repair, you will demand the Termite Detection System.

How It Works
It's a fact: termites produce more CARBON DIOXIDE (CO2) each year than all other living organisms combined.

TDS samples the air in the wall cavities of buildings and analyzes its composition to determine any increase in carbon dioxide. If there's an increase, there's a strong possibility that termites are there and further investigation is warranted.

You may check an entire building or just trouble spots, such as dirt filled porches or around plumbing, on the inside through the sheetrock. A needle size hole is made just above the baseboard and the probe is inserted. In 10 seconds you will know if there is an increase in CO2. That would indicate active termites in that area. The main infestation can be located by the highest reading in that area. We recommend checking the walls every 5 feet around the perimeter.

You may also install a 'whole house' detection system, comprised of plastic wall tubes implated into the wall cavities from the outside of a home's perimeter at five foot intervals. your technician checks the system by taking readings from each tube to determine it infestation is present.

Your investment in your home or business is worth protecting.

The Termite Detection System works very much like a burglar alarm system, since termites do more monetary damage each year than all loss from burglaries.

TDS can be installed when treating a building, in conjuction with a bait system, for added protection or as a stand alone system. Your confidence in' annual inspections will increase dramatically.

Builders Love TDS, Too.
Builders quickly realize the added value benefits of selling a home protected with the TDS. The TDS is an important offering to their buyer as a cost effective and environmentally friendly early-detection system for termites.

A GENERAL KNOWLEDGE ABOUT COMMON PESTS

They are easily the most common pests; besides being a nuisance, they can transmit respiratory diseases, contaminate food and damage articles. Types of cockroaches generally seen in homes are ...

GERMAN COCKROACH
Mostly found indoors in kitchens, cracks and crevices, they grow to large numbers in a short span of time.

AMERICAN COCKROACH
Lives in sewers and manholes, they enter homes through 'nahni' traps, open doors etc.

BROWN BANDED COCKROACH
Found in homes, it looks very much like a German Cockroach.

ANTS
Commonly found in homes (especially small red, black and ghost ants) they swarm around leftover, spilt food or drink and form trails back to their nest. Some ants cause painful bites and stings. Ants are fast becoming a major pest.

SILVER FISH - FIRE BRATS
Largely active at night, they damage household articles containing starch such as bookbindings and fabrics.

BED BUGS
Bed bug bites cause irritation and sleepless nights. They feed on human blood and have become serious pests in recent times. Bed-bug infestation is picked up at cinema halls, on railway benches and sometimes even from birds in your surroundings.

WOOD BORER
Powder fallling from wooden furniture is a sure sign of woodborer infestation. Many people incorrectly think this to be termite damage.

RODENTS
Rats and mice make themselves confortable in human surroundings, finding food and shelter in our homes. They breed rapidly and contaminate food, damage clothes and other materials, They sprea diseases such as plague, leptospirosis, murine typhus and rat bite fever.

HOUSE MOUSE
Smallest of the rodents found in homes, brown to grey in colour. It prefers the ground level; and can make nests in sofas, upholstery, old files, insulation etc.

ROOD RAT
Slightly larger than the house mouse, drak brown to black in colour. It prefers higher areas such as false ceilings and rafters, where it makes nests. Very cautious by nature, it shies away from new objects.

INDIAN BANDICOOT RAT
The largest of Indian rat, it is found near garbage bins and refuse collection areas. It lives in burrows, often excavated in footpath tiles and concrete. It also spreads diseases such as plague and leptospirosis.

TERMITES
Termites are the number one pest when it comes to structural damage to homes. Most of these damages are cause by subterranean or soil-nesting termites in search for food containing cellulose such as wood, paper, clothes etc. They construct pathways or mud tubes from nest to food source. These tubes are sure sign of infestation as are winged termites seen hovering around light sources during the monsoons. Lack of these tell-tale signs does not mean there are no termites around and damage often goes undetected till it is too late. When dealing with termites, prevention is definitely batter than cure.
